The new year is the perfect time to create new habits for success as a woman entrepreneur. Notice I said habits, not resolutions. Resolutions easily spin out of control and become too grandiose to implement. Selecting a few key habits to create is vital to affecting change in your daily routines, and the year to come. Instead of writing a list of suggestions, I have decided to be transparent and list the new habits I have committed to in 2017. Hopefully they will make sense for your life or spark ideas that will create positive change in your day-to-day life as a female founder.
Don’t forget to list how you will implement your new habits…otherwise they will live on your to-do list instead of on your done list.
Habit #1 Drink More Water
It sounds silly but drinking water has numerous health benefits. It increases energy, relieves fatigue, promotes weight loss (see Habit #2,) flushes out toxins, improves your complexion, boosts immune system functionality and is a natural headache remedy. Habit #3 Exercise More
I saw an Instagram post that said, “I will love myself enough to make time to exercise.” In my break-neck schedule I sometime skip workouts to finish projects or sleep in. Reading that post reminded me that I need to take care of myself more. Did you know that 76% of wealthy people exercise 4 times per week? How am I implementing this habit? In addition to my beloved Megaformer classes, I have added MMA training on Mondays and hit the elliptical machine at my house 5 nights a week.
Ultimately, putting your health first is a fantastic way to get your year off to the best possible start.
