3 New Year Resolutions For Women Entrepreneurs That Work

The new year is the perfect time to create new habits for success as a woman entrepreneur. Notice I said habits, not resolutions. Resolutions easily spin out of control and become too grandiose to implement. Selecting a few key habits to create is vital to affecting change in your daily routines, and the year to come. Instead of writing a list of suggestions, I have decided to be transparent and list the new habits I have committed to in 2017. Hopefully they will make sense for your life or spark ideas that will create positive change in your day-to-day life as a female founder.

Don’t forget to list how you will implement your new habits…otherwise they will live on your to-do list instead of on your done list.

Habit #1 Drink More Water

It sounds silly but drinking water has numerous health benefits. It increases energy, relieves fatigue, promotes weight loss (see Habit #2,) flushes out toxins, improves your complexion, boosts immune system functionality and is a natural headache remedy. I don’t know about you, but running multiple businesses, taking care of my family, and juggling a social life as a woman entrepreneur leaves me with some massive headaches.  How am I implementing this habit? Every time I am at the gym I drink my entire Swell bottle of water and then drink another on the drive home.

Habit #2 Listen To Podcasts

A recent study showed that 63% of wealthy people listened to audio books or podcasts during their commute. It makes sense and is time-efficient, so I have committed to feed my brain by listening to EO Fire and The Foundation. How am I implementing this habit? I download a podcast before I go to the gym and listen to it on my way home. The adrenaline high coupled with inspiring stories and advice help me start my day with energy and new ideas for my business.

Habit #3 Exercise More

I saw an Instagram post that said, “I will love myself enough to make time to exercise.” In my break-neck schedule I sometime skip workouts to finish projects or sleep in. Reading that post reminded me that I need to take care of myself more. Did you know that 76% of wealthy people exercise 4 times per week? How am I implementing this habit? In addition to my beloved Megaformer classes, I have added MMA training on Mondays and hit the elliptical machine at my house 5 nights a week.

Here’s to a new year full of prosperity, opportunities, and good habits ladies!
